A challenge

I'm thinking of participating in this event

Thinking it would do me some good along with also doing others some good.  

Anyone else up to a challenge to make a quilt to donate to someone in need?

Added to the collection

I added two more block to the collection this week.  

All us girls had picked squares and we all made them with scraps of our choice color.  We had 5 for a while then added one more a couple months ago.  

Last week we picked out 4 more squares.  I was able to get 2 done the other night while J played and have 2 more all cut out and ready to sew.  Hopefully I will get to them this week. 

Vacation Sewing Day

We had a girls sewing day during vacation. 

We all gathered around mom large table.

And the bar in the kitchen

And Jason went for a ride with Papa on the tractor. 

We cleaned sewing machines.

And I added more blocks to the mystery quilt.  We had sewing meeting although she didn't give us any more blocks this month since she gave us so many last month.

And then I finished up our sewing circle blocks and found 4 more to add to our collection.  

Addition to the Sewing Room

There is a new addition to my sewing room!

However, it is not all mine.  It was purchased by myself, my mother, my grandmother, and my mother in law.  

I am just the fortunate one to have it located at my house.

Newest Project

I go to a monthly group meeting for sewing and we are doing....

a Mystery Quilt

We were told how much of each and what color we needed and then given a block direction per month so we are slowly constructing the blocks. 

I am finally ALMOST up to date.  Next meeting is February 13th and I am hoping to be up to date by then!

I made Jason one last year for his first Christmas but Ryan and I have not had a stocking since we moved in together.   This year we do!

Girls Sewing

The girls and I each decided to pick out a 12 inch block and all of us would make the block in our own colors and eventually put them together in to our own personal quilt.

They are really coming together.  Now I just need to keep making more blocks to go with them in order to make a scrappy quilt.
