Autumn decided that it would be fun to pull out all the sympathy cards for Jason. This basket full of cards has always been sitting in the corner. Autumn decided it was time to get them all out. This is not the first time she has done this.Tuesday, May 31, 2011
A follow up
So I wrote the other day how we believe Autumn was sent to us by Jason to help us get through tough times. Needless to say, I had Autumn again and we went down to mom and dad's house so that Ryan could work on a dock for a neighbor.

Surprises!
I was able to spend some time with Autumn last weekend which is always great for me! I love spending time with that little girl. Sometimes this is the reason why I think I don't have my own children. If I had my own children I wouldn't have the privilege of spending so much time with this bright little girl.
This little girl keeps me on my toes.
I have to say the best thing about coming home after work and walking through the door and seeing Autumn, her lovely smile and hear "AAUNNTIIEE" It the loudest high pitched voice possible by a two year old is well worth a smile. Not only that but to run across the floor yell, "up" and give me great big hugs and kisses. These are the things I live for. It also makes me smile that she just adores "uncle Ryan" because I know he is excepted into my family just fine!
This is the closest little kid I will have to nieces and nephews. To think two years ago I was upset and worried that I would never have the chance to have a niece or nephew. Well, biologically I never will but to be called Auntie and loved so much by this little girl makes me know and understand that she was put here for a reason. She was put here by someone for my parents and I to get to spend time and enjoy just as if she was our own.
So "Thank You" Jason as some days are very tough to get through and knowing she is a gift from Heaven to take care of my parents, myself, Lindsey and Jermey. We needed her to get through some tough and difficult times. She lights up all of our lives. Some days are tough and challenging but with this smile and laughter around it seems to be a bit easier.

Jefferson Jubilee
The 3rd annual Jefferson Jubilee was held Friday May 13th. It is a great event put on at the school by the PTA. Each year the PTA goes out in search of local individuals and businesses that will donate different items. Once the items are donated and dinner and event is planned.
There is a pasta dinner with sauce, salad, rolls, drinks and desserts. The raffle items are spread out on tables. People can buy tickets and write their names on them. People put their tickets in a bag that is placed in front of each item. They put their tickets in if they wish to win that item. At the end of an hour we start raffling off prizes.
Helpers bring the bag up and dump it into a large bowl where the names are all mixed up. The president of the PTA then draws one name. The student helpers then distribute the items to who they belong to.

Thankful for ..... my grandmother!
I have to say that I am so thankful to have such a great grandmother! She is a wonderful person and thanks to her I have the chance to get some stuff accomplished in my sewing room. I asked very nicely if I could borrow on of her machines to keep at my house to work on napkins for the wedding. And look what she brought!
I now have two sewing machines on my table. The front sewing machine is my grandmothers and had my green thread all threaded into it and ready to go to work on napkins for the wedding. The back sewing machine is all threaded with my everyday thread so that I can work on other projects including working on the quilt top for the wedding.
This just saves me time and hassle from always switching colors of thread and changing over my stitches every time I want to work on something different. So when I work on napkins I put the front sewing machine on. When I want to work on something else I put the front sewing machine on the floor, slide the back sewing machine forward and off I go!

April Block of the Month
I went to our meeting on the first Saturday of the month with my blocks and grams blocks in hand. Gram was in Florida so I took her blocks with me and was able to pick up both mine and gram's blocks.

better late than never
So I'm a bit behind time with no internet at my house.
So my tree quilt that I go get the block monthly I was slacking on getting done. Once I got all moved into the new house and my sewing room set up I was able to get some work done on blocks that I had skipped.

A gift on the door step!
So last night Ryan beat me home because he was with Corey and I was at my parents. He came home to this little package on our doorstep.
So we just had to bring it in to see what it was all about!
A bottle of wine, two beautiful glasses and some cocktail napkins!
What a beautiful gift to be welcomed to the neighborhood but I just wish I knew who it was from so I could send them a nice thank you!
