Busy weekend

Thursday night and Friday Gram and I volunteered here!

The quilt show at the Augusta Civic Center.

See the directions.

We had a blast as always! It is great to see all the vendors in one place and see all kinds of different quilts. We enjoy doing our couple times of volunteering each year.

This year could have gotten us in some trouble though! We have decided to join a Havest of Squares Shop Hop! One weekend September 29- October 2 you pay $5 to get a tote bag with the names of all the stores on it. You visist the 9 stores and at each store you get the material to make a block. Once you have visited all 9 stores you have 9 blocks free! (Other than the $5 bag fee). So I decided I was going to do it and so did Gram. We grabbed a bag for mom to do it and I also asked Carol! So we are up to 4! I got 5 bags so we are hoping that maybe Lynda will join us on this adventure!

This morning I got up and cleaned my house. Then proceeded to....

Make a batch of Blueberry muffins. After picking Blueberries with Carol by kyak on Thursday.

I got my desk area organized and usable.

And made a pie. Ryan has been talking about this pie all week and now I have the recipe so he feels it is a must have that I made it today. So It's made!!!

And I just got off the phone to find out that we get to spend time with Autumn! She is spending the night tonight and the day with us tomorrow!

But painting awaits. I must go paint trim on the outside of the house!

Auntie Time

I came home from my weekend away in Caribou and look at what Auntie and Uncle got to pick up at Daycare!

She just loves giving Sophie kisses, and of course Sophie just loves all the attention that Autumn gives her!

Couple days later Auntie time continues! We got to have a beach day together.

She just loves the beach, Playing in the sand and in the water!

But we always need a snack

And we must take baby Dora with us

But by the end of the day we are tired. But Sophie is always there to comfort!

And to finish off such a great day with some quality Uncle time! Lately she has had this thing about uncle. When she hears his truck drive in she is at the door opening it waiting for him to come in. And he barely got through the door before she told him to sit down. And I see she found a spot to sit down too!

catching up

I have been so behind a documenting what I have been working on, or lack of working on due to the wedding.

May's block of the month

June's Block of the Month

Ah, Here is what needs to be completed for July for the block of the month

The July blocks are completed! Yeah one less thing to think about.

And my tree block for July and August

Too bad I haven't even got May of June's trees done and now I also have July and August. I best get my butt in gear I guess and get working on these trees.

I will eventually get caught up I know. But I tend to work on one project then bounce to another because I like to take a break and change things up so I get to work on many different projects.

We have company!!

So on July 17th Ryan and I noticed a robin had taken to our plant.
This is our front door step.

And our hanging plant was the culprit.

It is a beautifully made nest. Right in the center of my beautiful hanging plant. It has become difficult to water.

And on July 21st we found out we had company! We have two little Robin's eggs. This again makes it extremely difficult to water. I hold of my watering of the plant to once every 3 to 4 days and I have to water it with a cup to pour down the outside.

We continue to sit at our bar and watch out the kitchen window. We have changed our ways and we come in and out our garage as much as possible. We even use any other door we have so that we try to be the least intrusive on this bird.

We haven't seen the mom come back for two days. The front door step was used to cook dinner and used to enter the house. I sure hope she comes back soon and doesn't neglect these cute little eggs.
