Autumn Splendor Shop Hop Weekend 2

Northwoods Quilting

Mom had a little too much fun picking out lots of fabric.

Threads Galore.

Jason loves Threads Galore because they have toys that he can play with while Mom shops.

And the passport fully completed.

Two intense busy weekends and we visited 7 shops and had some great family time.

I've been working on a quilt for a special little girl.

My college room mate is having baby girl number 2!

So here is the start of the quilt I am making her.

And once the borders are put on, it looks so much better!

Wishing I had more time in my sewing room

I got a new toy that helps to iron seems open

I tried it out and really seem to like it.

And I have a project on my quilt wall...

It's been on the wall for ever now and hopefully soon I will get to working on it and getting it finished.

Missing my sewing room

I have been missing my sewing room lately.  With the baby around I just don't seem to get much time in my sewing room to spend some time working on projects I have started or want to start.

I finished laying out the remaining blocks for the shop hop quilt that I have been trying to work on now for 2 years.

I have finally gotten all the blocks put together and now I need to take some time to lay it out and start sewing it together in rows.

But for now, I still haven't had much time in the sewing room and I am hoping with February vacation coming up I am thinking maybe that would be a good time to get into my sewing room and send my little man to my mom's for a couple hours.

A Christmas Stocking

It's about time and how appropriate......

J's stocking is finished

with camo lining and all.

And what better day to finish it but on Thanksgiving!

Atleast J will have a stocking this year under the tree, now hopefully I may be able to get one finished for Ryan and myself before Christmas day!

A little afternoon sewing

I tried to get a little sewing done this weekend.  After realizing this weekend that Christmas is coming, and none of us in house have a stocking for Christmas day!

So, Jason decided he didn't want to lay in the pack and play but sit up so that he could see me working at my sewing machine.

And, I got to patchworks sewn together for the outside of Jason's stocking,
maybe tonight I can get the outsides cut out in the correct shape, and the linings cut out.

If I am lucky and I have time maybe I can also get the outers quilted!
